St. Michael's Church

The school has good links with St Michael's Church which is just across the road and is therefore easily accessible.

The whole school takes part in services in the church at key points in the Christian calendar, the most recent being the Christmas nativity perfomance. All of the St Michael's family participates in these services.

We also benefit from weekly worship in school led by Reverend Wilson and have had special assemblies held by members of the Clergy - Beatboxing with Gavin Tyte.

Additionly alot of pupils at St Michaels also attend 'Kids club' at the Church on Tuesday evenings.

Message from Reverend Wilson

When we think of church many people instantly think of a building and the things that go on inside it. We want to change that and turn it on it's head.

We want everyone, when they think of St Michaels, to think instantly of people - people like themselves - people making a difference. We hope that St Michael's is different.

We are a growing community of people of all backgrounds and all ages and we are convinced that God wants to do great things here in Twerton.

While we love to get together on Sundays we don't want to be known primarily for our 'services'. We want to be known for other things - friendship, concern, authenticity, community, enthusiasm, joy, giving, life. Having said all this, we know we're nothing special - just a group of ordinary people - like you.
